The irony of two cops getting shot then taken directly to the hospital and it becoming breaking news while Mike Brown laid out there for hours and people had to fight like hell for others to even mention it is overwhelming.
The “irony” is non-existent. And be as angry as you want, but these scenarios are totally different. Brown was shot and killed, the officers were wounded and needed to go to the hospital to make sure they stayed alive. Brown was an incident that didn’t need mentioning in the news outlet because, as much as you want it to be, nothing the officer did was illegal. However, since Furgeson is already in the news, OF COURSE this is going to get covered immediately.
Also, it’s a BIG FUCKING DEAL when people shot at cops considering cops are public servants. Furthermore, if you actually listen to the video, you can beat someone say something kin to “this wouldn’t have happened if you didn’t kill him 9 months ago” OBVIOUSLY saying that they were shot because Wilson LEGALLY a defended himself against a criminal.
Read into this what you want, but we all know that these protests are doing more harm than good. We all know that this isn’t some sort of double standard. Be angered as much as you want, but we all know there’s nothing to actually be angry about when it comes to this police shooting other than the fact that some idiot decided that attempting to kill two officers was a good idea.
Now yall can understand why they wear that riot gear. Why they use tear gas. Why they must be heavily armed and shielded. THIS is why. Because of assholes like the guy who shot these men who think that cops lives are worth nothing. Remember how you feel now when you actually have to call the cops for your goddamn protection. Then I hope you feel ashamed of your hatred and bigoted attitude towards police officers.

anxiety is terrible, you could be having an attack and no one would even know because it’s an inward thing. it feels like you’re malfunctioning and you can’t process your own thoughts. you get a knot in your stomach and you can’t take a full breath but outwardly you can literally just sit there and look completely normal as long as no one tries to speak to you.
This has to be a joke.
Yes, these guys are assholes. Yes, this chapter deserved to be shut down. Yes, these guys deserve to be expelled.
However, they still have a right to live, they still have a right to be protected from assaults, they still have all of their goddamn rights.
And if you seriously think that the police ensuring that none of these guys are assaulted or killed because they’re racist then you really need to step back and reevaluate your life.
You’re never going to end racism if you act like this. You’re never going to end racism if you honestly believe that there are people who need to be hurt or killed simply because they’re uneducated and bigoted. You’re never going to end racism through social media. You’re never going to end racism through non-peaceful protests.
